I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… Caring, Genuine and Creative

My last acting gig taught me… Honestly, it helped remind me to remember two things: that no matter if you’re working with someone who’s new to the business or is a notable veteran; that we’re all people at the end of the day and we all share the same basic love for art/entertainment. It’s cool to build genuine friendships off of that!

Proudest performance moment… Ohhh man… good question! In 2008, I played Pinocchio in a musical version of Pinocchio. On a day where local schools would come out on a field trip to watch a play, the theater, which houses 700+ seat overbooked. There were kids in the aisles, on the floor, everywhere. It was PACKED (worse than Disneyland in the summer, haha!) but that day was one of my best performances I ever gave. On top of that, it was my first lead AND first time singing in front of a crowd. It was a blast though.

Most embarrassing audition… So, I had an audition and I needed my driver’s license out. I’m prepared and ready to go and I think to myself, “Oh, I’ll take my license out when they ask for it.” The casting director asks for it, and of all times, my license gets jammed in between my credit cards, business cards and what not. The casting director agitatedly mutters something and I panic. By some miraculous occurrence, my license was pulled out and they got what they needed. Haha, who knew taking out a driver’s license could cause so much stress?

Most challenging part… When I was 15 years old, I was cast as Mr. Henry Potter from the classic film, It’s A Wonderful Life.  Now, going from a 15-year-old high schooler to a bitter 80-something year old man is challenging. Not only physically but I even changed my voice and mannerisms. It was a lengthy process but was SO worth it. It is probably my most successful theatrical role to date.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... This is gonna sound unbelievable, but honestly, at age three. That was when I saw my first play. According to my mom, I sat perfectly still, my mouth was wide open, my eyes completely fixated on the actors and I knew right then I wanted to do what those people on stage were doing.  Not long after, I started acting and my mom asked me why I wanted to act. I replied “I want to make people happy”. While that answer has matured and developed a lot over time, it still remains a huge part of why I do what I do today. I feel this has always been my purpose and destiny.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... A music video director. I LOVE music videos and enjoy making them for fun. If I had to choose anything outside of the entertainment industry, a pastor or minister. Something to do with church.

Dying to work with... Another great question. I have four people from different mediums. I’d love to act alongside Leonardo DiCaprio or Tom Hanks, work with director George Lucas or Stephen Spielberg, and/or act in a music video for South Korean artists; G-Dragon or Jay Park. Too many to choose from but I love working with anyone. Everyone matters to me!

Was born to play... That young, coming-of-age role. I think my life story and message fits so well with the young teenager who is trying to make sense of who they are and embrace it.

Learn lines by... Repetition. Start slow, don’t add any “flavor” as I call it. Don’t try to add extra and just get the sequences of the words down. I usually remember key words/phrases. Once I’ve got the wording of everything, I start bringing the character to life more and more.

Get into character by... Turning it on. For me, I just gotta flip the switch to say “I am not Ryan anymore, I’m _____.” You have to prepare, research and stay in character. If you don’t prepare and research, you don’t have the tools necessary in creating character. Keep your mind zoned in and have fun with it.

Acting is… The form of art that allows us to shape culture, and especially have a positive impact on those watching. It’s how I give back to God by using my talents for good. It doesn’t matter if the piece is designed to feel sad or make them laugh. If I can help you release any stresses for however long or help you look at life more brightly, I’ve done my job!

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… Hahaha! I’m learning to play harmonica right now but I really suck, so please don’t think I’m dropping a country album next month! Definitely not making the resume cut…

Movie I can’t stop talking about... Star Wars. Diehard fan here even before the recent movies were released. By the way, for those Star Wars fans reading this... I liked the prequels. #sorrynotsorry Star Wars is and always will be a big deal to me.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Parking Wars, The Bachelor (Is Nick Viall gonna find someone yet?) and it’s not on either Netflix or Amazon but being a St. Louis Cardinals fan, I looove watching MLB Network.

Currently reading… Well, I attend a university here in Southern CA; so I can list you all my textbooks I’m reading but you’d probably skip over this question. Haha! I’m reading Star Wars Jesus, a spiritual commentary comparing the Star Wars films with Christian themes. Very interesting read.

Car karaoke tune... Hmm… I love so many songs. It depends on my mood. I can’t ever go wrong with “Company” by Justin Bieber or “Bang Bang Bang” by BIGBANG.

Star Wars character that best represents me... More Star Wars! Woo! Luke Skywalker. I think the journey he embarks on is similar to mine, as well as, his longing for more.

If they made a movie about my life, I’d be played by… If we could make him young again, Michael J. Fox. I think he resembles me and could play up the fact I have a height disorder. He’s a cool guy too from what it seems like!

Actor crush... Jessica Alba. Man, I always thought she was super cute.

Sign…

If I were a color, I'd be… Green. Green has always been my favorite color!

Fave travel destination… Gualala, CA. Love the redwoods up there and the beach is only five minutes away. So underrated. It’s my go-to-getaway. Besides that, Missouri. I’ve got majority of my extended family there so I love being around Midwest culture.

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… Santa Monica for sure. Just the area is chill and relaxing. Lots of fun to experience as well.

The best advice I ever got… To stay humble but be confident. I don’t ever want lose the sense of where I came from and how far God has gotten me. I also don’t want to lose the sense ofbeing “enough as I am” and that I don’t need to be anyone else, I’m cool just being me!

A Regional slam poetry champion with a love for writing, he is currently working on a web-series showcasing storytelling through poems called Poetic Letters.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… Creative, Adventurous, Loving

My last acting gig taught me… Teamwork is key, and professionalism is everything. When everyone is passionate about the project and doing great work, the product can be tremendous. Thus, making sure I do my part of coming open, on time, and ready to create among a team of professionals takes our work to the next level.

Proudest performance moment… My proudest performance thus far was acting alongside Russel Hornsby on a show for Freeform. In one of the episodes I was able to explore a range of acting emotions that included sheer terror, deep sadness, tears, pain and joy. It was also an experience where I was given a lot of wonderful advice on how to utilize the camera when performing in close-ups.

Most embarrassing audition… My most embarrassing audition was for a Football commercial that I went out for when I was younger, one of my first auditions… the instruction was to catch a football… that’s it. I caught that football and ran off camera as if I was avoiding tackled. The casting director thanked me and I left, later realizing that I had done something way different than what was needed.

Most challenging part… The preparation, I can prepare for hours on end, rehearsing, getting into character, running lines. At some point you have to set it down and let the chips fall.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... When I was a kid, I actually had this fantasy of going into the television and hanging out with the people inside. When I unfortunately found out that wasn’t possible, I learned the next best thing was something called acting, which blended the fun of make believing with your friends with the joy of making people happy through your creativity. Thus, I was sold.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... Definitely an Airforce pilot, I love planes and hope to get my pilot’s license one day.

Dying to work with... Ava Duvernay, her work is consistently impressive with stories that touch on the black experience. Spending time with her I’m sure would lead to an amazing product with more than a few awesome conservations while filming. I certainly respect her work and what she’s accomplished in her career.

Was born to play... You know, I always wanted to be the first black Aladdin, Disney’s Aladdin! I empathized with his story; a young man with hopes of a better life who takes nothing but his positive attitude and creative spirit to not only make his life better but the world around him. That’s an amazing story and character that I would love to bring to life.

Learn lines by... I typically learn my lines multiple ways such as sheer repetition, running it with a partner, recording the opposite actor’s lines on my phone then playing it back but saying mine in between, as well as by the more abstract. For instance, I don’t just learn the lines, I envision the world and the intent. If the line coming up is about going to a restaurant, I’ll imagine the restaurant, what it looks like, why I want to go… I’ll feel the lines while I say them which helps with memorization.

Get into character by... Every character is the better or worse part of who we naturally are. Thus, I’ll see where me and the character meet, how I can relate to the character via people I know, imagine all facets of who that person is and why they behave the way they do then begin to craft them in terms of voice, movement, motivation. With this homework, the character naturally begins to take shape.

Acting is… The greatest problem I would never want to go away haha! It is challenging and rewarding at the same time. It’s love, given to the performer, given back to an audience.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… So, I can spit pretty far…

Movie I can’t stop talking about... Back to the Future, one of the most underrated movies. The way the storyline connects so perfectly through all movies is superb. It’s one of those films you can watch a thousand times and always find something new each time that relates back another part of the film series. I love it.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… The Get Down, The Crown, Luke Cage

Currently reading… I just finished up a book called “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” recommended by a friend. I love the whole spiritual enlightenment thing so it has been a very interesting perspective on faith and science.

Car karaoke tune... ANYTHING from the musical Hamilton, just choose a track and I’ll be ready!

Star Wars character that best represents me... Han Solo, in the way that he is sort of tough and gritty and gets the job done. But, at the same time really benefits from the relationships around him. That’s pretty accurate of me.

If they made a movie about my life, I’d be played by… Derek Luke, he’s worked with Denzel Washington and is just a phenomenal actor.

Actor crush... I am not monogamous unfortunately when it comes to my crushes… I would love to meet Stacey Dash, Halle Berry, Tina Fey, or Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer especially, beautiful and talented!

Sign… Aries, but I don’t really follow the signs.

If I were a color, I'd be… Purple, my favorite color, the color of royalty, color of the Lakers, and the color of the best jelly, that’s the color for me.

Fave travel destination… I’ve had the pleasure of going to the Bahamas twice and really enjoy it over there, although I dream of going to a small town with beautiful fall weather. I grew up on the west coast, our seasons aren’t as dynamic as other places though I do enjoy the sunshine.

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… Aroma café has always been a cool little getaway, the neighborhoods surrounding the café make a really nice walk to help one relax.

The best advice I ever got… What’s meant for you is for you and that God is ultimately in control. I’m Christian and love God so the latter has always been inspiring.

Savira Windyani is an Indonesian actress and stuntwoman, who moved to Los Angeles at the age of seventeen to pursue her career. She has performed in numerous musicals growing up and found her passion for film and stunts during her journey in Hollywood. Hardworking and determined, she always strives for success even if it means failing over and over again.

Proudest performance moment… The standing ovation after performing my first number "All That Jazz" from Chicago The Musical, as Velma Kelly.

Most embarrassing audition… It was one of my first auditions out of school, for a feature film starring Emilia Clarke. I felt like I was completely prepared for it but, of course, nerves took over once I arrived because, not only was I auditioning for a movie with Emilia Clarke, but the casting director cast huge box office movies as well. The audition required you to pretend you're beating up a girl. So beginning the audition, suddenly I blanked out on every single line and had to improv everything. Next thing I know, I'm on the floor pretending to strangle the camera saying words that don't even make sense.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... Remember the Titans

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… New Girl, Stranger Things, The Crown

Would switch careers with… I'm all about making your career your own and not having to try to make it like anyone else's. But if I were to switch my career with anyone, it'd be Sir Anthony Hopkins.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... It wasn't really a moment as opposed to just a gradual feeling I had that intensified within time. My high school drama teacher, Scott Mcquaid, saw the potential in me when trying out an acting class, and he decided to train me and provide me with plenty of opportunities which led me to the realization of the passion I had to act.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... non-existing. I really don't know what I'd do without acting, as crazy as that sounds. Because as an actor you get to play everything, as well as tell important stories that the world has yet to know.

Dying to work with... yet again..Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Get mistaken for… To be honest, I haven't been mistaken for anybody. If you see my pictures and anything comes up, let me know!

Acting is… reacting. It's a way to escape from your own reality into someone else's.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I'm double jointed in a lot of places.

Secret I want everyone to know… I love eating chicken feet. It's one of my favorite parts of a chicken and I had realized that it isn't very common here in America.

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… Any part where I'm surrounded by nature and which makes me feel like I'm no longer in a city.

Georgia Rose Thompson

Georgia Rose Thompson made the move from London to Los Angeles two and a half years ago to pursue her career in acting. She comes from a dance background and loves to incorporate that in her work whenever possible. She is grateful for the opportunity to be here, doing what she loves, on a journey that is limitless.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… awkward, determined, perfectionist

My last acting gig taught me… that it’s not about trying to make big moves all at once, but filling every moment with risk and passion.

Proudest performance moment… One of my proudest performance moments was actually performing a dance piece as a member of 'Quicksilver', which is the Rambert Dance Company, Youth Company. the piece was called 'The disappearance of Elsie May' and it was an abstract piece in awareness of dementia and in memory of the grandmother of our choreographer. Not only did the piece have such a significant meaning and message, but our music was also chosen by Akram Khan, which was super exciting!

Most embarrassing audition… This would probably be an audition for a kids show, that I wasn't aware was for a major network until my friend texted me and said he saw my name on the sign in sheet. So of course this made me nervous, and it didn't help that we had to sing and my throat was as dry as anything, but i thought it’s fine I’ll go in, do the scene and that will calm me down and then I can sing. Nope, I had to sing first which didn’t go too well. Then it all just went down hill from there, it felt like I paused for 10 minutes in the middle of the scene just staring into the camera and sweating like a pig. It probably wasn't that bad, but it seems to get worse each time I recall the story.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... I recently watched "Moonlight” based on the play “In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue” adapted by Barry Jenkins about the struggle of growing up black and gay in 1980's Miami. And although it wasn’t packed with dialogue, it was completely filled and really landed on the audience from what I experienced and witnessed in the talk back session.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… These are shows that I am mostly waiting for the new seasons to come out but they are: Sherlock obviously!, Luther and Underground.

Currently reading…

Car karaoke tune... would have to be Sunshine Anderson's "Heard It All Before."

Would switch careers with… Angelina Jolie, because I mean, it’s Angelina Jolie.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... I actually wanted to be a dancer all my life, but acting kind of was a secondary thing that came along with that. But a few years back I was in a BBC1 pilot and managed to work with some amazing people and it kind of just hit a switch for me.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... maybe a lawyer, I always liked debate club and my friends always say I hate to be wrong so that may be a possibility.

Dying to work with... Idris Elba, I may have a tiny crush on him and also I just love his work and feel like we come from similar background.

Get mistaken for… I don’t really get mistaken for anyone, I guess I’m a bit of a concoction of a mix.

Was born to play... I would probably have to wait a few years but I would love to play Cleopatra, she so full of emotion and changes instantaneously, I think this would be really demanding, but amazing.

Learn lines by... just reading them over and over, pretty basic but it works for me.

Get into character by... I first try and draw similarities in terms of emotional traits between myself and the character, and then will look into the lifestyle and background of the character and see how that will inform a physicality etc.

Acting is… telling a story, be that of a person, an emotion, or theme. I feel like as an actor your primary goal is to tell the story not just of your character, but the overall intended message.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I can put my whole fist in my mouth... gross I know!

Secret I want everyone to know…

Alexander Bruszt

Alexander Bruszt was born in Sydney, Australia and is best known for portraying the role of Fynn Thompson on NBC’s “Days of our Lives”. One of 300 actors to have auditioned for that role, Bruszt eventually beat the two finalists and won the 13 week contract role. He debuted on the show in the month of November 2015, and in the same month it was announced that his contract had been extended. He was previously a presenter of Australian Fox 8 Channel and guest-starred on “Home and Away”.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… sensitive, moody, perfectionist

My last acting gig taught me… John Aniston (Days of our Lives) told me when the camera rolls to "act fast" as he puts it. There's no time to go back and do it again.

A four year veteran of the U.S. Army from Miami Florida, Jefferson Reid is a working stage and screen actor with a relentless dedication to all facets of the craft as well as a rabid fan of the Miami Dolphins and writer of ridiculous haikus.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… compassionate, focused and fearless.

My last acting gig taught me… Regardless of what you are cast in you can do anything so long as you don't think it's too big for you and aren't afraid to work.

Proudest performance moment… Performing my own written work in front of an auditorium full of people alone onstage, it showed me I make people feel and reflect on their own experience by telling my story.

Most embarrassing audition… I came in front of one of my favorite casting directors at my first professional audition nervous as all get out and did my best read. When i finished she told me "Please try it again, but this time can I not see the top of your head?" I made the amateur mistake of putting the sides in my lap.

Katelyn Pippy

Katelyn Pippy is a stage and screen actress best known for her work as a series regular on the Lifetime series "Army Wives." After appearing on the show, she attended Cornell University, where she also played Division 1 Ice Hockey, and has since graduated and moved back to LA to act full-time.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… tall, sarcastic, competitive.

My last acting gig taught me… grace.

Proudest performance moment… When I was 12 I did a Stephen Schwartz Off-Broadway show called "Captain Louie" and during the audition process I sang my audition song in front of him which at the time happened to be "The Wizard and I."  It could've gone terribly wrong but luckily it didn't, and singing a song I loved in front of the person who wrote it meant the world to me.

Most embarrassing audition… I recently was told by a casting director that I have a great manly voice.  I also remember once when I was 14 I had a producers session for an episode of Law and Order SVU where I was supposed to be a child prostitute, and I'd killed the big crying scene in the initial read and callback, but got to the producers session and just absolutely tanked. Ya win some ya lose some.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... so many, I see almost everything that comes out (there's a separate item in my budget for movie tickets)...but I just saw the new Magnificent 7 and then watched the original and loved them so I'm on a westerns kick right now.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Ali Wong's comedy special "Baby Cobra" is everything. Also Bojack Horseman, and I'm excited to start Marvel's Luke Cage.

Currently reading… audiobook: Dance with Death, a Pendergast novel (my dad and I share an audible account and read SciFi books together and then talk about them), actual physical book: Amy Schumer: The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo.

Car karaoke tune... Hamilton Cast album...every word...to the non-amusement of my significant other.

Would switch careers with… COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY! (But JLaw obviously).

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... I was 7 and had my own song in the school play and we were in the school's gym and I remember getting up and doing the song and sitting down knowing everything had changed.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... an interior designer.

Dying to work with... the Duplass brothers, Kate McKinnon, Meryl Streep.

Get mistaken for… I don't often get mistaken for somebody else because my face is an odd combination of ethnicities but I've gotten JLaw a handful of times (think it has to do with having a deeper voice), and also Jennifer Garner.

Was born to play... a snarky heroine (Deadpool but a girl?), Lady M in the Scottish play.

Learn lines by... I usually just read a scene aloud a couple times and am good to go. During Army Wives I used to memorize my lines on set during the camera rehearsal (a lazy habit that I do not recommend as a one stop shop method).

Get into character by... I think the phrase "get into character" is funny because I once had an acting teacher mock me when I said that's what I was doing by miming pulling on invisible pants and then saying "awesome I'm in character now!" So I tend to stray from the phrase, but when developing a new character I like to do a lot of background research and journal as them and make specific decisions about who I am and what I want, and then when the time comes to do the scene or show I let all that go, trust that it's there in my mind because I've done the work, and just play.

Acting is… storytelling. (And a ton of hard work...and a lot of icky but necessary self-promotion).

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I can gleek (google it)...it's basically useless but for the fact that I do a great impression of that dinosaur from Jurassic park that has the fans on its neck and spits a paralyzingly agent at its victims.

Secret I want everyone to know… wouldn't be a very good secret if I told the internet, now would it?

Actor crush... my boyfriend, Zubin Asaria.

Sign… will always be an Aries, leave me alone NASA.

If I were a color, I'd be… blood red.

Fave travel destination… tough, but I love Berlin and anytime I get to make it back to New York City. On a plane headed to Seattle right now so maybe I'll change my answer!

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… inspiration: going to see new movies at the Arclight, relaxation: I've recently taken up bouldering so I have a membership to rock climbing gyms throughout the city, it's my favorite way to tune out the LA noise.

The best advice I ever got… 1) get a great education -my parents, 2) nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent -Eleanor Roosevelt, 3) between your comfort zone and your miracle zone is a battle zone -a guy in my acting class at AMAW (loved this).

Justin McLachlan

Justin McLachlan is an actor, writer & producer. He is the creator of EOS 10, an award-winning, scifi radioplay and podcast heading into its third season. Previously, he was a journalist who wrote for Wired and Popular Science among others.

I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… a writer / actor

My last acting gig taught me… That I’m enough.

Proudest performance moment… I was in a play once where everything went wrong toward the climax of the show. An actor forgot a key prop and had to literally leave the stage to get it. We all kind of looked at each for a moment and my line was next, so I launched into a 40-second improvised monologue to cover. The other actor burst back on stage and we went on like nothing had even happened — no one in the audience knew, either.

Most embarrassing audition… I auditioned for A Chorus Line when I was still in high school. One of my teachers was part of the production team. He was a gruff, prickly man who taught me pretty much everything I knew about acting at that point. After I sang for my audition, his voice came out of the darkness (we were in a giant, cavernous auditorium and all I could see was the stage lights in my eyes) and he said, “you know I can do that?” He wasn’t known for his singing voice and I couldn’t believe he’d say something to me like that in front of the producers and casting, the director and choreographer, etc. I was so shocked all I could manage to say was, “can you?” After a long silence, he said: “No, do you know the song, I Can Do That, from the show?” Ah, yeah. The song. I said yeah, I know it, and he told me to come back and sing it the next day. I almost died on the spot, I think, but at least I got the call back. Didn’t book the job.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... Ex Machina. It haunts my dreams.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Jessica Jones, Stranger Things and … … Cheers haha.

Currently reading… The Irresistible Introvert by Michaela Chung

Car karaoke tune... Anything from Next to Normal

Would switch careers with… Tina Fey? Someone funny and who creates work for themselves.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... I’m not sure I had that moment. I was just always acting and I can’t think of doing anything else. I tried, but I just keep coming back.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... A journalist. I was one for a long time. Still am sometimes.

Dying to work with... Joss Whedon

Get mistaken for… I don’t think I’ve ever been mistaken for anyone. People stare at me a lot but that’s probably a different issue.

Was born to play... Some character that Joss Whedon writes.

Learn lines by... Walking around town constantly talking to myself. I’m sure people assume I’m crazy, and they’re probably right.

Get into character by... In the words of my amazing coach Joseph Pearlman, I think we, as people, are 1000 times more interesting than any characters we could hope to create. So I bring a lot of just me to every part and that gets me about 90 - 95 percent there. Then, usually through a lot of improvisational work and just sitting with the dialogue, I push to find some depth and add layers to get it to 110 percent.

Acting is… So much harder than the best of us make it look.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I can eat an entire watermelon in one sitting. I love watermelon. I love it so much. I’m eating some right now.

Secret I want everyone to know… Good question. That I’m usually way less confident than I look, and I don’t think I always look that confident.

Actor crush... Idris Elba

Sign… Leo

If I were a color, I'd be… Red

Fave travel destination… Norway, but New York is a close second.

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… The Coffee Bean on Sunset near Fairfax. Not sure why, but I spend a lot of time on that patio. I once hiked to the top of the Hollywood sign and watched the sun set. If I could do that everyday I would.

The best advice I ever got… Pick your battles.

Most embarrassing audition… I have yet to have an embarrassing audition, but I know no one is perfect so it will be interesting to see how I handle the situation if it occurs.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... Whiplash, I love the performance between Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons in this film. Both actors fought for the highest stakes possible, which pushed the passion and energy of this film through the lens and into the souls of the viewers.

Would switch careers with… I don't believe any one person’s career is more valuable than the next. It’s about the journey and process of building what you have and what you do.  If I wanted to switch careers I would, but I would work hard to make it my own.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... When I first realized I had a message to give to the world I chose acting as a platform to express my creativity. Through acting I could be anything and everything I've ever wanted to be without limitations.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... I would be a writer because besides performance I believe writing is the true expression of knowledge which gives wisdom and courage to those who come after us.

Dying to work with... I would be honored to work alongside Spike Lee. I believe what he brings to the industry is something unique based on culture and the in depth truth of the situations he chooses to depict on camera.

Get mistaken for… There is no one on a consistent basis that would stand out. I believe I'm very unique, as we all should.

Was born to play... Private First Class Melvin Peterson in A Soldiers Play by Charles Fuller
