I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… Creative. Gentle. Warm.

Acting is… Storytelling.

My last acting gig taught me… The importance of collaboration.

Proudest performance moment… Playing Buddy Layman in The Diviners and having a friend tell me that watching my character learn to overcome the guilt he felt about the loss of his mother helped him to deal with similar guilt he'd been harboring surrounding the death of his mother. The stories we tell are important and can have a lasting impact on the people we tell them to.

Most embarrassing audition… Being in the middle of a Shakespearean monologue in a college audition and totally blanking. You can't improvise Shakespeare.

Most challenging part… I played Karl the Giant in a production of the musical Big Fish. I was totally not right for the role (I'm a lean tenor and the role is written for a large bass), so I had to find a way to adapt the role to fit me as an actor. Not to mention having to learn how to walk and do high kicks on stilts.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor… I'd always been interested in acting when I was a little kid watching movies & TV, but it was solidified for me when I saw the national tour of Hairspray with my mom in Abilene, Texas.

Dying to work with… Meryl Streep & Steve Carell.

Was born to play… Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors.

Learn lines by… Repetition. Practicing with a partner after I've spent some time on it always helps.

Get into character by… Paying close attention while getting into costume, hair, & makeup. Seeing that transformation always starts to put me into the world I'm about to help create.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I've committed to memorizing the lyrics to DOZENS of Broadway musicals.

Movie I can’t stop talking about… I'm still in love with Call Me By Your Name and Beautiful Boy.

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Mad Men, The Office, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. (I KNOW I'M LATE TO THE PARTY!)

Currently reading… A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

Car karaoke tune… Currently "Vienna" by Billy Joel, but I'm always down to have a car karaoke with a musical theatre cast recording.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be… The owner/chef of a popular food truck.

Stranger Things character that best represents me… Mike Wheeler.

If they made a movie about my life, I’d be played by… Adrien Brody.

Actor crush… A tie between Ben Platt and Lili Reinhart.

Sign… Sagittarius

If I were a color, I'd be… Pink.

Hotel alias… Agent Cody Banks.

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… The beach is the place I go when I need a good reset.

The best advice I ever got… "Train. Train. Train. And don't give up." - Kristin Chenoweth at a Barnes & Noble CD signing.
