I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… quiet. observant. strong.

Acting is... an art form with the ability to enlighten, entertain and alleviate. At its best it can enable people to see another perspective, showcase another viewpoint, and help us to learn more about each other ... about ourselves. Allow us to connect with one another, identify with each other and not feel so alone.

My last gig taught me... Grab craft services when you can.  You may not get another chance.

Proudest performance moment... Back home I was performing in a play and a well-respected critic attended the show.  At the end of the performance he gave us a standing ovation.

Most embarrassing audition... I was asked to mime making scrambled eggs and failed miserably.  #I'm not a cook.

Most challenging part... Juliet. It was my first role out of college and I hadn't learned how to deal with the pressure of leading a show.

The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... I always knew.  But when I was sixteen I decided that I was going to pursue acting.  I would be unhappy in life if I didn't.

Dying to work with... obviously Meryl. Frances McDormand, Cate Blanchett, Marion Cotillard, Sarah Paulson, Laurie Metcalf, Viola Davis, Allison Janney, Sally Hawkins, Peter Dinklage, Ben Foster, Richard Jenkins, Michael Fassbender ... Coen Brothers, Alejandro Iñárritu, Christopher Nolan, Kathryn Bigelow, Ang Lee, Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Torro, Martin Scorsese, Gus Van Sant, Lynne Ramsay, Denis Villeneuve ... and of course, Roger Deakins

Was born to play... Lady Macbeth.

Learn lines by... Repetition and speaking out loud.  Lines always sound different when you actually say them versus saying them in your head.  I go over each section one by one, and I don't move on from the first section until it's memorized.  I focus on the beginning and any challenging sections the most.  I also look at the lines before I go to bed; I find that it helps me to remember them the next day.  Because of this, I don't ever wait until the day of to memorize if I can help it.

Get into character by... It depends on the role.  Some roles need more assistance than others.  Hair, makeup, and wardrobe always help.  Determining how the character walks, what her body language and demeanor are ... and the lines ... the lines help me to get into character.  There're usually one or two lines specifically that will embody the character.

Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… mmm ... I can alternately wiggle my eyebrows up and down.

Movie I can’t stop talking about... RBG, the documentary on Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Better Call Saul, the final season of the Americans and I'm getting ready to finally watch Handmaid's Tale

Currently reading… Stranger in a Strange Land

Car karaoke tune... This is my fight song! Just kidding. I'm deathly afraid of singing.

If I weren't an actor, I'd be... a cosmetologist. ... but I do think I missed my calling as either a boom operator or a blood spatter expert.

Stranger Things character that best represents me… either Eleven or Joyce Byers (Wynona Ryder) ;)

If they made a movie about my life, I’d be played by… Natalie Portman.

Actor crush... in no particular order - Denzel Washington, Charlie Weber, Chris Pine, Michael B. Jordan, Dominic Cooper ... and Marion Cotillard.

Sign… Aries, March 24

If I were a color, I'd be… Purple.

Hotel alias… Sarah Connor

LA spot that inspires or relaxes me… I like to get away.  Go outside of the city.  Take a drive on the PCH and stop at a beach or winery.

The best advice I ever got… Be yourself.
