Joe Longo (LoGiudice) is new to LA from Connecticut. His last name is pronounced, “Lo-ju-di-che,” which means ‘The Judge’ in Italian. He found some success back home acting, but decided to take the leap and come out West and pursue it further; “no risk, no reward.” He is excited to get to work out here, and is sure to find the joy in the journey. Joe maintains an attitude of gratitude, which is revealed immediately when you meet him, and he enjoys watching others find success on their path as well as his own.
I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… Grateful, content, giving
Acting is… Letting go, and being true. Exploration. Getting vulnerable, and being transparent. Rejoicing in the fact that you can walk past the fear of being judged.
My last acting gig taught me… Teamwork is number one. No one is better, or worse than one another. We’re all a team, and if someone is throwing off the mojo with a poor attitude, you must nip it in the bud immediately, even if it may be hard to do.
Proudest performance moment… My first professional gig was a PSA on opiate addiction. I was proud for two reasons. One, because it was nominated for a New England Emmy. And two, because it had an important message, one that is personal to me.
Most embarrassing audition… I arrived unprepared, which is not only embarrassing, but unprofessional. I made sure to never let that happen again, because it is no one else’s fault but my own if I do.
Most challenging part... Mitch, in Streetcar Named Desire. I never did live theatre before, and I was fortunate to land the part after auditioning just for the heck of it. My fears were memorizing all those lines, and keeping tempo on stage where you don’t get a retake. Fortunately, by a lot of practice and commitment, it all went just fine.
The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... A few years ago, when I started. I have always been interested in human behavior, and the hows and the whys. I thought, that would be fun to do it on camera. So I answered a Craigslist Ad for a student film. I didn’t get the lead, because of my look, but they wrote a new part in, just for me. After that moment, I thought that I may be on to something.
Dying to work with... Al Pacino
Was born to play... Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street
Learn lines by... Repetition, repetition, practice, repetition
Get into character by... Deep breathing, and being prepared. Also, being grateful for the opportunity always takes the nerves out of anything.
Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I can tear down and rebuild tractor trailer engines
Movie I can’t stop talking about... The Departed is a fav that will come up frequently

The best advice I ever got… There is no right way to do the wrong thing. Also, to always be grateful. There is always something to be grateful for, no matter what. Show your gratitude by giving back selflessly.
