Celine Rosalie was born in Cologne, Germany. She is half Italian and a big part of her is Czech. She grew up mainly in Prague and Cologne, watching her mom perform on stage from a very young age. She went to a Catholic Choir school, spent 5 hours a day doing gymnastics, also singing and playing the piano while getting all her schoolwork done, but after an accident in gymnastics her whole life turned around and she started to focus solely on Acting. Therefore after graduating High School she moved to the UK to attend the Oxford School of Drama which led her to Los Angeles. She is currently finishing her conservatory training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, working towards getting into the conservatory’s Company. She wouldn’t be where she is now without the support of her family and the strong belief that it is that simple and dreams really can come true.
I am (use a max. of 3 words to describe yourself)… A determined hardworking Dreamer and a hopeless romantic
Acting is... being vulnerable and experiencing beautiful agony through the exploration of somebody else’s soul to understand the behavior of humans in specific circumstances, further expressed through your own personal thoughts, actions and reactions.
My last gig taught me... that it’s all in the words, and the more you feed the words, the more reality and truth you get out of it.
Proudest performance moment... was the moment I let go for the first time as an actor. I didn’t think about what I should do or should be feeling, it all just came together. It was during a tough time in my real life but being able to feel that on stage and to use what was going on almost felt cathartic. I was the character. I had her thoughts and emotions. This was a scene that I was working on from the play Hedda Gabler, and it felt magical to be able to get there emotionally.
Most embarrassing audition... was when I had to audition for a mute character. I did my best to learn as much sign language as I could in the short time I had, but they wanted me to talk anyway and I didn’t really know what I was doing. It just felt wrong and so odd.
Most challenging part... Venus in Fur. She is just such a complex and strong character, I am still working on her and trying to completely get her. It’s a lot of fun though!
The moment I knew I wanted to be an actor... when I saw my mom performing on stage. I was enticed. I felt how the atmosphere of the theater changed and I started noticing how it affected the audience. Laughing, crying, I didn’t care, but I knew I just wanted to make people feel something that might change them or make them see things in their own lives they might have never noticed before.
Dying to work with... Meryl Streep, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Quentin Tarantino, Al Pacino, Charlize Theron
Was born to play... oh no, this is a tough question…I think Millie from Picnic, I would love to play Vivian from Pretty Woman and I’d love to say Wonder Woman but Gal Gadot is really awesome.
Learn lines by... repetition, writing, listening and recordings
Get into character by... music, writing a diary as the character, Mannerisms, specific movements and behaviors the character has
Special skill I wouldn't put on my resume… I have a creature voice, it’s basically a character that’s really funny and sometimes just comes out, I call her ‘creature Ceze’ :D
Movie I can’t stop talking about... I absolutely love Top Gun, Pretty Woman, Robin Hood (with Kevin Costner), WW, Rocky, Goodfellas, Girl Interrupted and any old classic, agh there are so many amazing movies!!!
Top three Netflix / Amazon shows in my queue… Daredevil, Game of Thrones, Black Mirror and I’m curious about Jessica Jones
Currently reading… A biography: The Two Lives of Errol Flynn by Michael Freedland
Car karaoke tune... Old Time Rock n’ Roll, Summer of '69, anything from the Grease Soundtrack
If I weren't an actor, I'd be... a doctor or a gymnast
Stranger Things character that best represents me… Eleven
If they made a movie about my life, I’d be played by… myself I hope or maybe AnnaSophia Robb or Julia Roberts
